February Firefight Round II

The Hard Core of Team BOFA is a handful of guys who work together at CitiStreet - But we rock with some friends and family from outside the workplace as well.

2/24/2004: Thunderpig: At last a proper pic of Chris, and a glimpse of his badass new Marker, the Spyder Rodeo. Check it out! Plus, a proper picture of #2. Enjoy ladies.

02/19/04: Thunderpig: First Fuzzy, then #2... well take a look at the bottom of the page, and get accquainted with the next member of the clan to play with Team BOFA! (and I really mean "Play with BOFA!")

8/29/03: Thunderpig: The team recently voted to add a #2 and Dougie Fresh as full members of the Team. Better pics of these BOFA ballers will be up soon, but in the meantime, check out their profiles!

8/04/2003: Thunderpig: Enjoy the recently-updated Team Pics! Click on the thumbnail to load a larger version.

Thunder Pig
Thunder Pig is our hard-core forward. Yes he's a big target, but he can put some moves on you. This man has no fear, except running out of snacks.

Thunder Pig NEVER runs out of gas - well, he might run out of CO2, but he can always produce a "fragrant replacement" when needed. He's a great guy, but don't stand too close, unless you are hoping to use his flatulence to shield yourself from the mosquitos.

When it is time to get an event together, he's the one who nags everybody until they promise to make it. And if you don't show, you'll be hearing about it for weeks to come...

Thunder Pig proudly takes the field with a Spyder Agressor XT, mounting a 12" Xtreme Systems Barrel.

Spiked
Why do we call him Spiked? Well, other than the numerous spikes all over his gear, you should smell his OJ in the morning.

Spiked is the original Team BOFA recruiter. This Jolly Saint Nick look-alike slowly but persistently bugged his co-workers until they opened their wallets, and spent some dough on this awesome sport. Spiked is one of our Back Players (huh-huh, that's what she said) and likes to shoot paint at 13 balls per second. He is equipped with a Spyder Electra with a Smart Parts 12" barrel.

If you stand still long enough, Spiked will have you leaving the game looking like a Picasso.

Fuzzy
Fuzzy is one crazy MoFo. He is our other front player, and official "team psychopath". Fuzzy is the type of guy that will run straight at you in a gun fight. This hell-for-leather attitude is sometimes not very wise, but it is often quite useful in a Front Man. Fuzzy's marker of choice is the Spyder E-99, and he has been known to use a couple of different barrels, as the situation and the paint being used dictates.

Fuzzy has had some problems with being shot in the neck (that's what happens when you buy a neck protector and don't use it). After one particularly vicious hit he actually looked like he had an extra Adam's Apple! But that didn't stop him from going straight at the other team the next game out - Fuzz's just hard core.

We don't know why we call him Fuzzy... some questions are better left unanswered.
Extremo
Extremo is our extreme joker... notice the red hair. This is our big-mouthed associate that makes sure we're never taken advantage of on the field or in business transactions. He will be the first to complain about anything, legitimate or otherwise.

When he's not red-faced from screaming about something, Extremo can cook up some pretty smooth tactics in that red-fuzzed head of his. If the opportunity for a game-winning move is there, he can be aggressive to the extreme.

Whatever you do, when Extremo shoots you, don't say "OUTCH" - he may go ballistic on you with his Spyder Imagine w/Warped Sportz 14" Barrel.
Minuteman
This bald-headed 6'2" Massachussetts Minuteman (his girlfriend didn't say anything, I swear) is a tough one to take out. He's a big fella, but he can be quite stealthy. I won't say too much about him because, well, he's bigger than me.

Despite the sun beating down on the top of his bald head constantly, Minuteman has a good feel for tactics. Working with one or more teammates, he will quickly get the enemy turned all sorts of crazy directions, then "BOOM!" the match is over.

The rest of Team BOFA runs Spyders - but Minuteman sports a tweaked Tippman 98 with Flatline that can put you out of the game before you even know he's in your area code.

Minuteman would like to say something to all the visitors to our humble site:
"How about a nice cup of Shut The Fuck Up?"
There you go everybody, that one's from Minuteman to you.
Dougie Fresh
This seemingly mild-mannered fellow turns into an agressive and fast-moving player on the field. He just upgraded to a Tippman A-5, with electronic trigger. As you can see in this pic, it can really lay down some fire!

Doug just moved here from Colorado, and had the misfortune to move into the apartment beside Extremo. What a stroke of luck to have a hard-core paintballer move in right beside a teammate.

If we were going to give Dougie another handle, it would have to be "Gadgets". It seems as though every time we talk about some cool piece of paintball hardware, the next time Dougie comes to the field, he's got it. "Hey guys, look at this mine! Hey, check out this grenade!"

Anyway, Dougie has been a key part of the Team ever since he started coming out. Welcome to the the squad!
Number 2

Number 2 is related to Fuzzy, and followed him right into the sport of Paintball. We're glad he did!

#2 isn't named after "takin' a dump" - the handle came from the fact that he has the same name as a Team BOFA founding member. We started calling him "# 2", and now it's a habit.

He has very quick feet, and does a great job of snagging the flag when Team BOFA wants to press in a speedball game. #2 has performed well at every single Every Team BOFA event that he has been part of. He really is a natural fit for Team BOFA.

In games, #2 Jason uses his Spyder Victor to good effect.

Ryan & Rebecca
Ryan and his gal Rebecca have been regular participants in a bunch of our games. Ryan has a knack for hunkering down and staying out of sight. Here's a pic of them together. You can't see it in this picture, but Ryan operates a Spyder Electra DX with a distinctive clear hopper.

Initially everybody was a little leery of shooting at Rebecca, but now she's "Just one of the guys". Her marker is a Spyder Extra, and she has become increasingly effective with it. During the most recent match she got plenty of people out, including one or two nice mask shots. Hopefully she and Ryan will continue their regular attendance.
Chris

Using a tweaked Diablo Inferno, Chris made himself a fixture in three or four of our events last year. With some careful work, and the purchase of an Armson Stealth Barrel, Chris turned his Inferno into a very respectable sniper weapon.

Now, he plays with a hooked up Spyder Rodeo, and his airsmith skills have become a thing of beauty. He has worked on the thing so much that I think the only original part left is the body! New reg, barrel, valve, springs, E-Frame, you name it, it's on there. As a matter of fact, at the game the other day I thought I heard it talking to him... "Alert, there is a player behind the pine tree 30 feet ahead and 27 degrees to your right"

It's great to see all the kids at the field gathered around Chris like he's Santa Claus. They all walk away with glee, markers held high. "Sweet, he fixed my veolicty!" or "Whoa, he fixed my recocking problem!" It's a sight to see.

Dusty

Yet another member of Fuzzy's clan showing up at Team BOFA events? We would have said "no way", but take a look at what Dusty brings to the team!

Dusty gets down with a Spyder Agressor XT.

Rock on Dusty!

(Of course you can click the pic to get a clearer view)

Special Thanks:
Most of the pictures you are enjoying here on the site were snapped by Tracey, our "Combat Photographer". Tracey came to the field with #2, and routinely braves mosquitos, stray shots and rough terrain to help us get these photos.

Please accept the heartfelt thanks of Team BOFA Tracey!
